Shannon sought treatment with Sheridan as she felt insecure about the size of her lips.
As a model Shannon expressed that her photographs emphasised the lack of natural volume in her lips. She was aware that they were frequently edited in her professional images, even after additional make-up applications were used to enhance them.
Though Shannon wanted a larger pout it was absolutely critical to her, and her career that she would maintain a natural look.
Although Shannon was very insecure about the size of her lips she was also anxious about having treatment as she had seen numerous examples of badly over-treated and fake looking lips. Due to her profession it was very important to ensure that she achieved natural volume and shape.
As a result of her very thin lips and the natural projection of her top lip, the correct product selection was vital in order to avoid overfilling and an over-projected look (duck lips!)
It was agreed that a conservative treatment would be the best approach, with further treatment to be considered in the future if Shannon wished to build more volume.
Shannon was treated with 1ml of dermal filler to her lips which was delicately placed in specific areas to provide subtle volume and to balance her natural asymmetry.
Shannon experienced minimal bruising and she was advised that there would be a little more swelling the morning after treatment gradually decreasing over the course of the day. While the final results would be apparent after 2 weeks, make-up could be applied the following day which was beneficial to Shannon’s busy work schedule.
